Education is one of the basic pillars against poverty. Pupils, trainees and students receive financial support through the scholarship program. It covers their school fees, costs for school materials, food and accommodation in the residential homes. In return, scholarship holders teach children from poor families in slums or remote villages. Currently, around 30 students are helping 870 children at four primary schools in Mymensingh to study. The program was one of the first projects of the Taizé Brothers in Bangladesh. It has been investing in education in a very practical way since 1987.
